(Jazz Funk 7pm & Latin Fusion 8pm at Routhier Community Centre ) Jazz Funk: As one of the youngest and most commercially successful dance styles, Jazz Funk has taken the dance scene by storm! Most commonly seen in music videos and live performances, this energetic genre combines the sassiness of Jazz dance with the care-free groove of Hip Hop, centering around the empowerment and performance of the dancer. Though it does not require classical training, Jazz Funk is a versatile dance form that focuses on dynamics, expression and musicality. It’s a unique dance of the body and mind that encourages the dancer to let go of inhibitions and have fun! Mondays at 7pm Latin Fusion: Get ready to groove in our Latin Fusion class, where we blend the fiery rhythms of Latin styles with the smooth, syncopated moves of jazz funk! You’ll dive into dynamic sequences that explore various Latin genres, from salsa to samba, and then switch gears into high-energy jazz funk combinations. This class is perfect for dancers who want to spice up their skills and add some serious flavor to their repertoire. Join us and let’s fuse these vibrant styles together on the dance floor!
