A character, and concept building workshop where we work on the approach of these elements when building a character with your life experiences and Kulture. For marginalized folks and folks of colour cabaret and burlesque doesn't have archetypal gimmicks, stories, and characters to play off of that reflect us specifically, so we must bring our own to burlesque and drag, authentically and unapologetically. This workshop will not only tell you to do it but also show you how many different ways you can do it. Please note: This workshop is open to all and is not BIPOC-exclusive. However we ask participants to respect the space occupied and contribute with care, prioritising BIPOC voices.
