Rhapsody Blue

Instructor

Rhapsody Blue is chronically ill with a license to thrill. This fire-eating, shimmy-shaking darling is a strip joint feature dancer, a circus entertainer, and a prolific emcee and producer. She has been performing burlesque since 2010. For five years, Rhapsody produced the weekly burlesque spectacular known as Burlesque Wednesdays.

She is the only artist, to date, to take her bra off on stage at Canada's National Arts Centre.

Rhapsody sat on the board of directors of the Ottawa Burlesque Festival, serves as resident MC for Naked Boys Reading Ottawa, and has worked in theatrical choreography.

Rhapsody Blue has appeared at the NOLA Nerdlesque Festival, the Toronto, Edmonton, and Ottawa Burlesque Festivals, the Ottawa International Buskers Festival, & in 2018 was featured talent in the Capital Burlesque Expo. Extraversion "Olive" Oil

She puts the EXTRA in extraversion. Olive is an essential ingredient that's pressed to impress. A queer, neurodivergent performer who has been on the stage from a very young age. With decades of experience in various dance styles, she’s guaranteed to give you variety. Her background in theatre, clown, and musical theatre, means she loves the silly, fun, and animated side of dance and burlesque. She will help you explore different characters and feel out different vibes throughout her time with you. Olive specializes in choreography based instruction. Olive’s goal as an instructor with Rouge Studio of Dance: Kingston is to create a safe space for all levels, genders, and bodies to explore and challenge themselves.

Danielle McTaggart

Instructor

Danielle has been sharing her love of Bellydance for over 20 years and has a passion for teaching. Starting in Classical Styles, she now specializes in Synchronized Group Improv, Fusion Bellydance and American Cabaret.

Danielle enjoys bringing different props to her performances (currently specializing in swords!) and can get lost in costume creation.

Kopy Cat

Kopy Cat has been performing on stages of all sizes for over 25 years including graduating with a Musical Theatre Performance degree. They have been doing burlesque since 2017 when she won Burlesque Idol at the Ottawa International Burlesque Festival. This Mohawk beauty has taken North America by storm performing her upbeat, high-energy style. Kopy Cat is a member of Capital Tease Burlesque and one of the producers of Ottawa’s only burlesque show, Basement Burlesque. She’s one in a million! She’s the Original, Kopy Cat!

Luna Naughty

Instructor

Luna Naughty has been setting stages alight—sometimes literally—since 2010. A circus, fire, and flow artist, the Secret Society Stunner has performed at venues such as the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts, the Canadian Museum of Nature, and the Ottawa Convention Centre. In January 2025, she will debut at the Vermont Burlesque Festival.
In 2019, Luna took a burlesque class from Rhapsody Blue and hasn’t looked back since—unless it’s to check out how good her butt looks. With proficiency in over a dozen flow props, Luna can transform almost anything into a prop to spin.

Misty Holiday

​Misty Holiday is Kingston’s campy burlesque sweetheart. She’s performed in Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, and Kingston, serving up acts that are as joyful as they are cheeky. A storyteller at heart, Misty mixes humour, sensuality, and a shot of OOMPH to create unforgettable experiences. Whether she’s crooning a jazz standard, sauntering on stage as Austin Powers, or sizzling in a slow burn, she brings warmth, wit, and sweet sweet euphoria to every stage. As an educator, Misty brings that same energy to the classroom. She’s passionate about helping students explore their individuality, find their voice, and shine on stage. With a flair for both smoldering glamour and cheeky, technicolor charm, Nova brings bold creativity and thoughtful storytelling to every stage she steps on. A proud member of the Demoiselles of Desire and the Crystal Valkyries—Rouge Studio Kingston’s own house troupe—Nova has quickly established herself as a dynamic presence in the local burlesque scene.

In 2025, she captured attention by placing 3rd in the debut Ottawa’s Up-and-Coming Burlesque Superstar showcase, earning her a spotlight as a rising performer to watch. Nova is continually refining her style and storytelling, drawing inspiration from both classic and contemporary burlesque. She’s committed to growing as an artist and building a vibrant, inclusive community along the way.

As an instructor, Nova is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space where students can explore movement, creativity, and confidence on their own terms.
