Ballet Barre & Jazz

Service Description

This class will rotate each week between Ballet Barre with Ruby Mirage and Jazz with Emma! This is an all levels class, as all movements are adjustable to your own ability. Ballet barre focuses on lengthening, toning and stretching, while also improving your strength, poise, and stability through a stronger core. Class will begin at the barre and finish in center, where we will practice movements and arm positions. This Intro Jazz class is all about STYLE! Learn the basics of jazz technique and explore some energetic commercial and broadway-inspired choreography to up-beat music! Your instructors: Ruby Mirage, a member of The Divine Darlings and lifelong dancer. Ruby owned and operated her own dance studio for 25 years, teaching ballet, pointe, jazz, tap and baton twirling to students of all ages. She looks forward to sharing her love of ballet, the foundation of all dance, with you! Emma has been passionate about dance since childhood. As a former CFL cheerleader and current professional commercial dancer, Emma enjoys sharing her passion for dance with her students! For three years, Emma has had the pleasure of teaching Jazz Funk, Heels and her specialty, ‘Floorwork’, to the dancers of Rouge and is excited to bring Jazz to the studio in this new class!” Dancers are welcome to wear jazz/ballet shoes, sneakers, socks, or bare feet. Masks are currently optional for this class. (subject to change) Sundays 1:30pm Oct 1-Nov 26 (no class Oct 8) Cost: $168+ HST

Cancellation Policy

As mentioned on our website, our policy is no refunds or transfers of payments for classes once the session has begun. There are no refunds or credits given for missed classes. If you cancel 48 hours before the first class of the session, a refund will be given minus a $50 deposit. Workshops are non-refundable.
